Chardonnay
Wine
Serrat Chardonnay is made from estate plantings of Chardonnay, mostly Mendoza clones planted in 2007 with the occasional parcel from the Old Block planted in 2001.
The grapes are handpicked, whole bunch pressed and naturally barrel fermented with full solids. The wine then matures for 11 months on lees in French oak puncheons, a small percentage new.
Bright yellow green, Serrat Chardonnay has expansive layers of fruit with an underlying thread of complexity and a very long finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
